Rio Ferdinand has shared that he is hearing from Tottenham Hotspur fans that they are ‘not happy’ by what they are seeing from Antonio Conte’s side so far, as he told Vibe with Five.
There is the suggestion that Tottenham aren’t playing at their best, but they are still picking up points, as Ferdinand made reference to their 2-2 draw at Chelsea, where he felt their London rivals were ‘the better team by a mile’, but the spoils were shared.
Even over the weekend, as Spurs beat Leicester City 6-2 on home soil, at one point, the scores were level at 2-2 and Brendan Rodgers’s side were threatening to score more goals.

But Tottenham’s strength from the bench proved to be the turning point because, at 3-2 and after Hugo Lloris made an outstanding save from Paston Daka, a certain Son Heung-min was introduced into the action.
Within 16 minutes, he well and truly destroyed bottom-of-the-table Foxes by scoring a hat-trick to perhaps make the scoreline look a lot harsher than the performance from the away side suggested.
Either way, Spurs are still unbeaten in the Premier League after seven matches, but Ferdinand seemingly sounded surprised at what he’s hearing from fans.
“It was weird, but it seems like it was a different Spurs,” said Ferdinand. “I have heard a lot of Spurs fans, ‘Oh, I am not happy with this’.
“But even against Chelsea, they were the better team by a mile and they got a draw out of it. This team Leicester, looked like they were going to go on and win the game.
“Yet they still win and score six, in the end. There is the Conte effect in this team where there is that grittiness”.

CONTE WORKING HIS MAGIC
This is why Conte is regarded as one of the best coaches in the world because he has this knack of getting the absolute best out of teams and more.
That’s proving to be the case in his current job and it’s a very good sign for Tottenham because it will become even more useful as the season progresses.
During those crunch moments of the season, which will arrive from March onwards, you are going to need to have this habit and ability to win ugly.
Well, Tottenham are already doing that, and in some cases, doing it emphatically.
