Jose Enrique has said on Twitter that he wants Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal to win against Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby so that it enhances Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool’s chances of finishing in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
Tottenham and Arsenal will lock horns with each other at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.
Arsenal are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment, while Tottenham are aiming to finish in the UEFA Champions League places in the standings.
Liverpool are out of the title race, but the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are in the race for the top four.
Former Liverpool star Enrique wants Tottenham to drop all three points against Arsenal in the North London derby so that they do not extend their lead over the Reds.
Liverpool have picked up 28 points from 18 matches, while Tottenham are on 33 points from 18 games.
The Reds are having a bad season and lost to Brighton and Hove Albion away from home in the Premier League on Saturday.
