Leeds United will face Newport County in the FA Cup this afternoon.

Leeds United will return to action this afternoon when they take on Newport County away from home at Rodney Parade in the third round of the FA Cup.
The West Yorkshire outfit will head into the match on the back of a goalless draw with Nottingham Forest at Elland Road in the Championship.
The Whites are favourites to win against County this afternoon and should be able to book a place in the fourth round of the FA Cup with relative ease.

One Leeds player who is set to start for Leeds against County is Jay-Roy Grot, who can operate as a striker or as a winger.
Leeds head coach Thomas Christiansen has been quoted as saying by Leeds Live that Grot will start against County.
The Netherlands Under-19 international has struggled to play well for the Whites since his move from NEC in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee of £1.5 million, as reported by The Sun (print edition, Goals pull out, page 6, Saturday, January 6, 2018) (click here to read more).
The youngster has made 13 appearances in the Championship so far this season – all as a substitute – but he has failed to score a single goal.

Former Leeds striker Noel Whelan has given his take on the prospect of Grot starting against County this afternoon, suggesting that Christiansen’s decision could backfire.
Whelan said on The Noel Whelan show on BBC Radio Leeds on Friday evening (6:41pm, January 5, 2018): “There is a pro and a con to this one. The pro is he is going to be starting the game. Hopefully he is going to get 90 minutes.
“The con on the other side of it is if he doesn’t score and he doesn’t perform, then where do you go with this? That’s the problem.
“If he gets dominated by division two centre-halves and doesn’t show up, then there’s a real problem there.”
