Jay-Roy Grot joined Leeds United in the summer of 2017.

Christiansen has also urged the Leeds fans to get behind the 19-year-old, who can operate as a striker or as a winger.
The Netherlands Under-19 international has struggled to play well for the Whites since his move in the summer of 2017.

As reported by The Sun (print edition, Goals pull out, page 6, Saturday, January 6, 2018), Leeds had to pay Dutch club NEC a transfer fee of £1.5 million in order to secure the services of Grot in the summer of 2017.
The youngster has made 13 appearances in the Championship so far this season – all as a substitute – but he has failed to score a single goal.
Leeds head coach Christiansen has urged the club’s fans to get behind the youngster and has confidence in the attacker.

Christiansen told The Sun (print edition, Goals pull out, page 6, Saturday, January 6, 2018): “I have complete faith in Jay-Roy because I can see here is without question a young player who possesses real quality.
“It has been hard for him to show that quality since he came here and his time will surely come.
“More than anything else he needs his confidence to be boosted and it is really important for his development that the fans get behind him.”
