Michael Owen has said on PremierLeague.com that Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United could challenge Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City for the Premier League title this season.
The pundit believes that Arsenal are in the driver’s seat in regard to the Premier League title race.
However, the former Manchester United striker has said that the Red Devils could launch a challenge for the title in the coming weeks and months.
Owen has noted just how close Ten Hag’s side are to defending champions Manchester City at the moment.
Arsenal are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 54 points from 23 matches.
City are second with 52 points from 24 matches.
United are third.
The Red Devils have picked up 46 points from 23 games.
Michael Owen on Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United title race
Owen said: “And nobody is mentioning Manchester United. Manchester City are involved.
“But if Manchester United win their game in hand, they are only three points behind City.
“So you cannot rule anything out at the moment, but you have to say that Arsenal are in the driver’s seat.”

Two-horse of three-horse race?
In our view, Manchester United are unlikely to win the Premier League title this season.
Now, given the progress that the Red Devils have made under Erik ten Hag and their results, they will be looking to at least challenge and keep Arsenal and Manchester City in their sights.
However, we do not think that United will end up winning the title.
United are as many as eight points behind leaders Arsenal.
Do we really expect the Gunners to collapse?
And even if Arsenal do, how likely is it that City will also go through a horrible spell?
