Speaking after the 1-0 win over Ajax, Jurgen Klopp was lost for words in regards to one of his Liverpool players – Georginio Wijnaldum.
As quoted by ESPN, the former Borussia Dortmund boss said: ‘Robbo has a proper knock on the ankle and pushes himself through, Hendo with a sore back, Gini – I have no words for him. Curtis Jones, what a game, It’s amazing, I’m really proud.’
Evidently, Klopp only had six words to say about the 62-cap Netherlands international, with the ex-Newcastle man’s display quite literally leaving his boss nearly speechless.
According to WhoScored, the 30-year-old registered a passing accuracy of 89.2%, completing 37 passes on the night against a tough Ajax side.
Additionally, the Liverpool No.5 recorded four interceptions – no player on the pitch amassed more than the Dutchman.

As Klopp watches his players drop like flies, Wijnaldum has been an ever-present.
The £25 million man has now started four Champions League games this season, while also starting nine of the Reds’ ten Premier League games.
His engine, natural fitness and desire to keep going are invaluable traits that can’t be coached – Wijnaldum truly is a manager’s dream, and it’s no wonder he left Klopp speechless after full-time.

With the German unable to call upon midfielders Naby Keita, Thiago, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Fabinho – who has dropped into centre-back – Wijnaldum is proving his worth to this Liverpool team.
Some Reds supporters heralded him after full-time as well, with one describing him as Klopp’s best ever signing.
On the basis of his display last night, which was just another excellent showing in a long list of others, it’s hard to argue with that assessment.
