Tottenham fans will be quick to forget Saturday’s loss to Crystal Palace, as well as England midfielder Harry Winks.

As reported by the Times, the Spurs academy graduate struggled massively against the Eagles as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side fell to a 3-0 loss to Patrick Vieira’s Palace.

The midfielder was unable to move progress the play, with a graph showing that the 25-year-old midfielder barely registered a forward pass.

Indeed, Spurs were open to selling Winks this summer, but only if Tottenham received a £40m offer for the midfielder.

After Saturday’s performance, it’s safe to say no club will even think about submitting a bid this high for Winks, who has struggled for Tottenham in recent years.

With the likes of Aston Villa keen on the midfielder over the summer, there was a chance that Winks could have left Tottenham this window. Alas, the England star remained with his boyhood club.
