Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after La Razón revealed that José Mourinho wants to sign Sevilla centre-back Diego Carlos.
It is said that Mourinho has specifically asked Spurs to sign the Brazilian, who has a €75 million (£64.5 million) release clause in his contract.
La Razón add that Sevilla may be willing to negotiate a deal below that sum if Tottenham include Davinson Sánchez in negotiations.
It is also claimed that Sevilla need to make one big sale this summer, presumably because their finances have been hit hard by COVID-19.
In that respect, it sounds like Tottenham could have a chance to sign the 28-year-old, who has been a colossal figure for the Spanish outfit this season.
Diego Carlos has made 38 appearances in all competitions for Sevilla, and helped them win the Europa League last term in a backline which also contained Sergio Reguilón.

As covered by us yesterday, the pair seem to be good friends, and shared a joke on the pitch after the Europa League final win over Inter Milan last term.
Mourinho is in desperate need of a leading centre-back in a similar mould to Ruben Dias or Virgil van Dijk.

So far this season, the 58-year-old has chopped and changed his backline, with Toby Alderweireld the latest man to face the axe after being dropped against Newcastle.
Let’s see what the Tottenham fans on Twitter have been saying about La Razón‘s report…
