According to La Razón, José Mourinho has asked Tottenham to sign Sevilla centre-back Diego Carlos, who has a huge release clause.
The Spanish news outlet claim that the 28-year-old has a €75 million (£64.5 million) release clause in his contract with Sevilla.
However, La Razón state that negotiations may run smoother if Tottenham decide to include Davinson Sánchez in the negotiations.
The report adds that Sevilla are ‘obliged’ to make a big sale this summer – perhaps due to the financial impacts of COVID-19.
It is said that everything indicates Jules Koundé will be the man to leave, although Diego Carlos could be Sevilla’s sacrificial lamb.
If Spurs do sign the Brazilian, then at least he will already have a friend at Hotspur Way.

Diego Carlos bonded well with Sergio Reguilón when the left-back spent a season on loan at Sevilla.
The pair won the Europa League together following a 3-2 win over Inter Milan, in which the Tottenham target conceded a penalty.
After full-time, Reguilón recorded the pair celebrating, and jokingly mocked Diego Carlos for the penalty he gave away, as covered by Marca.

In addition to his relationship with the 24-year-old, the South American is also a fine defender, so there are multiple reasons for Spurs to sign him.
As aforesaid, Sevilla are expected to make a big sale this summer, so keep an eye on the Brazilian’s future.
