Liverpool fans have been left fuming after Alisson wasn’t used at all by Brazil last night.
Anger at Anfield
The Brazilian FA refused to allow Alisson to travel back early to Anfield, with Jurgen Klopp’s side competing in the early kick-off tomorrow.
It was, therefore, expected that the Liverpool stopper would start in their game against Uruguay.
However, Alisson was left on the bench, with Ederson picked to feature ahead of him.
And Liverpool fans have been left extremely angry with Brazil’s decision making, as they feel it was completely unnecessary to force the £50 million goalkeeper to stick around.
Doubt for tomorrow?
Alisson may still have a chance of featuring for Liverpool, but there is no doubting that his preparation for their game against Watford is far from ideal.
The Reds are in action in under 24 hours’ time now, and Alisson is still not back in the country yet.
If Alisson isn’t picked to start, it seems most likely that Caoimhin Kelleher will get the nod to start in goal.
