Aston Villa have had to cope in the absence of some of their key men recently.
Villa ace Neil Taylor spoke exclusively to the Express & Star about his side’s prospects of gaining promotion back to the Premier League, and labelled John Terry’s impending return as a ‘massive boost’ for the club.
The Villans currently sit in fifth position in the Championship table, seven points adrift of second placed Cardiff City, following a fine run of form that has seen them go unbeaten in five league games.
Steve Bruce’s men have had to cope without team captain John Terry since November 4th, after the 37-year-old broke a bone in his foot during Villa’s home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday, but perhaps somewhat surprisingly, they have not lost a single game in his absence.

Taylor, though, explained why it will be such a boost for him and his teammates to have the former Chelsea and England captain back fit and involved with the first-team, as quoted by the Express & Star:
“It’s a massive boost to see JT close to a return. I have been very impressed with the work that he has put in to get back fit again – but, then again, is anyone really surprised? It comes as no surprise to anybody. We have known JT for a little while now and we all knew he’d do his rehab perfectly.”
Next up for Villa is a trip to Pride Park to take on Derby County tomorrow, and a win could take them as high as third, if Bristol City lose at home to Nottingham Forest.
