Tottenham slumped to a 1-0 defeat against Brighton as they struggled without Kane

Jose Mourinho has “no Plan B” when it comes to replacing Harry Kane.
That’s one former Tottenham player’s view after they fell to a 1-0 defeat against Brighton at the Amex on Sunday night.
Kane went off injured in the 3-1 loss against Liverpool, and his team-mates struggled in their talisman’s absence.
Gareth Bale came in to the starting lineup, but again failed to impress during a loan spell that has seen the Welshman fail to recapture the form he showed in his first stint at the club.

The result leaves Spurs in sixth place.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Jamie O’Hara lamented Mourinho’s inability to deal with Kane’s injury and claimed Son Heung-min was struggling without the England striker.
O’Hara, who made 56 appearances for Tottenham before joining Wolves, said: “Harry Kane gets injured at this point of the season, every season, we know that and Spurs fans have got used to it.
“When (Mauricio) Pochettino lost Harry Kane, we coped. We managed to get through games, Son came into his own and scored goals, other players like Lucas Moura stepped up to the plate. We dealt with not having him.
“But with Jose Mourinho, when Kane doesn’t play it’s literally like we have absolutely nothing else to offer. There’s no plan b on how we’re going to get through games.

“Watching that last night, you’d say we’re a complete one-man band. Even Son looks lost without Harry Kane playing now.
“You’ve got to have an idea of what you’re going to do when you haven’t got Kane, because he gets injured and you have to be able to deal with it.
“Pochettino dealt with it. He got Spurs to the Champions League final without Harry Kane.
“But Jose Mourinho doesn’t seem to know how to get the best out of the team when he’s not playing.”
Kane will be missing again when Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea side visit the London Stadium on Thursday night.
