Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed on Twitter there is ‘no loyalty’ in football as he used Liverpool and Manchester United duo, Mo Salah and Cristiano Ronaldo, as examples.

The former striker pointed out that Salah would have left Liverpool ‘if it was best for him’, as he reacted to the rumours that Ronaldo wants to leave Manchester United this summer, as reported by Sky Sports.

Liverpool’s flyer on the right recently penned down a new contract at Anfield, not long after the Reds sold one of their star men in Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich.

With Mane out of the door, it would have been pretty damaging for the club if Salah followed suit next summer, but this time on a free transfer.

Nonetheless, with the Ronaldo rumours doing the rounds about him wanting to join a team in the Champions League, this is what Agbonlahor had to say, as he made reference to Salah as well.

ONE LESS CHALLENGE FOR SALAH’S GOLDEN BOOT CHARGE

Salah added another Golden Boot to his locker last season, with Ronaldo ending the campaign on 18, and that from 30 Premier League games and during a season when Man United struggled so badly.

So, from that perspective, with Salah set to defend his Golden Boot crown, alongside Tottenham’s Heung-Min Son, he has one less rival to deal with.

But if Ronaldo does leave, whilst one top star heads for the exit door, there’s only another in Erling Haaland entering the building for Manchester City.

If Haaland can showcase what he did in Germany, then he will be hitting the big numbers next season, alongside the usual suspects.

But with Manchester City winning four out of the last five Premier League titles, the Norway international hasn’t been brought in to add another title to the club ranks, but push them over that Champions League line.
