Nicolas Jackson on Tottenham Hotspur fans

Nicolas Jackson, who joined Chelsea in the summer transfer window, scored a hat-trick.

After the match, the 22-year-old Senegal international forward praised the Tottenham fans and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, describing them as “amazing”.

Jackson said on Sky Sports News: “Amazing stadium, amazing fans.”

My View: Tottenham Hotspur fans were brilliant vs Chelsea

Tottenham Hotspur fans at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium were great against Chelsea on Monday night.

They really were.

Even after Spurs had lost the London derby, the supporters were praising the players and were behind them.

I believe that the scoreline flattered Chelsea.

While Chelsea probably deserved to win the match on the balance of play, they needed late goals to pick up all three points.

Moreover, let us not forget that Tottenham had to play most of the second half with just nine players.

Even with nine men, Spurs were playing a high defensive line and were trying to score.

That is the way Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou likes to play his football.

And Spurs fans are loving it.

Tottenham are second in the Premier League table with 26 points from 11 matches.

Spurs are a point behind leaders and defending champions Manchester City.

Liverpool and Arsenal are third and fourth respectively with 24 points.
