An NFL fan has drawn widespread attention after using Super Bowl rehearsal timings to place a successful prop bet on the length of the national anthem.
The TikTok user, Caden Booth, shared footage of himself travelling to San Francisco ahead of the game and standing outside Levi’s Stadium while performers rehearsed.
His method has ignited debate online, with some viewers accusing him of gaining an unfair edge.

Fan records rehearsal timing before placing bet
Caden Booth documented how he positioned himself near Levi’s Stadium during Super Bowl rehearsals and timed several performances from outside the venue.
He recorded the national anthem rehearsal at roughly one minute and 44 seconds, which equals 104 seconds.
Using that figure, Booth placed a prop bet on Super Bowl Sunday that the anthem would last under 117 seconds, or one minute and 57 seconds.
The live rendition came in below that threshold, allowing the bet to win.
Online reaction questions fairness of tactic
Booth has not revealed how much money he wagered, though social media users speculated that the payout could have been substantial.
Some fans labelled the approach “insider trading,” arguing that rehearsal timing provided information not widely available to bettors.
Others pointed out that he gathered the data from outside the stadium without special credentials or confidential access.
The incident has prompted broader discussion about performance-based prop bets and whether rehearsal details should influence sportsbook policies moving forward.
