Stuart Pearce has made a case for why Brendan Rodgers would make for an excellent appointment as the next Tottenham Hotspur manager.
Ally McCoist said on Thursday that in his opinion, the Leicester City boss is the man for the job.
Stuart Pearce clearly agrees, despite several Tottenham Hotspur fans being against the idea of Brendan Rodgers becoming their new manager.
Stuart Pearce explains why Brendan Rodgers as Tottenham manager makes sense
While Rodgers is largely considered as a quality manager, his stock has plummeted this season, with the Foxes languishing in 17th place.

Despite there being empathy about the Northern Irishman perhaps not being backed in the transfer market, it is widely accepted that the squad has enough quality to not be in a relegation scrap.
As Tottenham are on the lookout for a new manager, Stuart Pearce has told talkSPORT that Brendan Rodgers is the man for the job.
“If I took Brendan in isolation and I was a chairman, on what I’ve seen from him continually over a long period of time, I would employ him straight away. I would be waiting to see whether he fell out of work if I was another club in the Premier League to take him to my club.”
When quizzed about whether Brendan Rodgers should still be a worth candidate for the Tottenham manager job with a potential relegation on his CV, Stuart Pearce replied, “100%, yeah.”
“Bear in mind, he was close to winning the title with Liverpool. He’s won trophies north of the border, continually he’s played a brand of football that’s been very good. I think he ticks a lot of boxes.”
As qualified as Brendan Rodgers is to take over the job as Tottenham manager, the club should perhaps aim higher by bringing in a tactician like Julian Nagelsmann in the summer.
