Dutch journalist Marcel van der Kraan has revealed that Arne Slot is embracing the chance of becoming the new Tottenham Hotspur manager with open arms.

The journalist took to talkSPORT to voice this revelation on Thursday about the Feyenoord boss, who has a ‘good chance’ of landing in N17, as per a claim on Friday.

As Tottenham Hotspur seemingly scour the market to assess the ideal manager to replace Antonio Conte, it seems as if Arne Slot is up for the challenge.

Arne Slot is keen on becoming Tottenham manager

The 44-year-old has been lauded due to the work he has done in Feyenoord, as his side are in contention to win the Eredivisie, Europa League and the KNVB Cup this season.

Alireza Jahanbaksh, who is a crucial cog to Slot’s side has already crowned him as the ‘best coach in the world’ at the moment’, which sums up his impact on the side in a nutshell.

It seems Arne Slot is tempted by the prospect of taking over the Tottenham manager job ahead of next season.

“Leeds offered £5m to attract Slot. He was very keen; Feyenoord said no. There’s a clause in his contract next year. Palace are a serious option; he’d love to coach Tottenham but clubs will have to pay a massive fee to get him.”

HITC View: Tottenham fans should be over the moon

What Arne Slot could bring to Tottenham if he is identified as the ideal manager for the role is cementing a footballing identity.

Much like Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp have done so at Manchester City and Liverpool respectively, the Dutchman could embed his signature possession-dominant style of play, which could dictate how the club operates on the pitch and in terms of recruitment for years to come.

Plus, the fact that Slot is reportedly excited about taking the reins at the club should also make the supporters smile, considering their goodwill amongst fans and pundits generally remains at a low point.
