It has been reported that the players at Brighton & Hove Albion worry Tottenham Hotspur manager target Roberto De Zerbi will leave for a Serie A club next season.
A report as recent as last Tuesday made the claim that Spurs had contacted the former Sassuolo boss over bringing him on board.
However, it seems Tottenham Hotspur could miss out on Roberto De Zerbi as well, with him potentially becoming a Serie A club’s manager in the summer.
Brighton players fear Tottenham manager target De Zerbi is Serie A-bound
The Italian mastermind has been lauded for his impact in the Premier League, with how he has managed to steer Brighton to a potential European place.
Branded as the ‘world’s best coach’ by Yasin Ayari in conversation with Aftonbladet, the 46-year-old has been tipped to become a supercoach in the near future.
So much so that a report by the Telegraph details that Brighton’s players are fearful of Tottenham manager target Roberto De Zerbi returning to the Serie A in the following campaign.

The highly-rated coach is revered by his players at the Seagulls for the progressive style of play he has managed to inculcate in quick-time.
HITC View: Tottenham should capitalise on this situation
While it has always seemed unlikely that Tottenham could appoint Roberto De Zerbi as their manager next season, if he is readying up an exit to Serie A, they should convince him to stay in England.
After all, while Brighton have one of the most exciting projects in world football, Spurs are undoubtedly a much bigger club.
Furthermore, De Zerbi will have a chance to potentially rescue a side, who despite their size have never particularly been successful in the Premier League era, which would boost his reputation amongst the masses.
While some may consider this revelation as bad news for the Lilywhites as well, the fact that Roberto De Zerbi may be leaving should encourage them to pull out all the stops to persuade such a top manager to make a move to N17 instead.
