Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United are unlikely to sign Leeds United winger Raphinha in the summer transfer window, according to The Telegraph.
The report has claimed that Newcastle are interested in signing Raphinha from Leeds this summer.
The Magpies have been monitoring the situation of the £63,000-a-week Brazil international winger (SalarySport).
However, according to the report, a move for Raphinha to Newcastle is ‘unlikely’, as Leeds have survived in the Premier League for another season.
Raphinha from Leeds United to Newcastle United was unlikely
In our view, it was always unlikely that Newcastle would be able to sign Leeds winger Raphinha in the summer transfer window.
There are clubs bigger than Newcastle interested in the 25-year-old who win trophies and compete in the Champions League.

Like Liverpool and Barcelona.
Barcelona are reported to have made bids for the winger, and even if Leeds got relegated from the Premier League, we do not think that the Brazil international would have moved to Newcastle over the La Liga club.
Raphinha scored 11 goals and gave three assists in 34 Premier League starts for Leeds this season.
The winger is one of the best in his position in the Premier League not to play for a top-six club.
