USA pundit Sebastian Salazar has expressed his ‘worry’ at Christian Pulisic’s situation at Chelsea and how his transfer value is decreasing.

The 24-year-old is a transfer target for Newcastle United this summer, but Salazar thinks there might be ‘little value’ in the player and, as a result, they won’t be willing to sell, as he told ESPN.

This has been a season of pure disaster for Chelsea, which will see them miss out on Europe and possibly secure a bottom-half finish, despite those hundreds and hundreds of millions being spent.

It means that many senior players are either out in the cold or constantly warming the bench, and Christian Pulisic is no different.

For Chelsea’s last four Premier League matches, he hasn’t been used, as the American’s tenure in West London doesn’t show any signs of improving.

It has provided worry for US pundit Salazar, who questioned if even Mauricio Pochettino could bring his career to life.

“Christian Pulisic can’t even audition for what’s next (because he’s hardly playing) and that makes me worried,” said Sebastian Salazar.

“That he’s going to have very little value this summer, which means that Chelsea aren’t going to be willing to sell him.

“That’s going to end up being where we have been all along with Chelsea, hopelessness for Christian Pulisic.

“We now know that it’s going to be Mauricio Pochettino. Maybe you are going to give me some hope there. Do you think he is the guy to bring something out of Christian Pulisic? Because, at this rate, I don’t think he will have many suitors this summer.”

NEWCASTLE’S INTEREST IN PULISIC

Given that the Magpies are heading for the Champions League, then it says a lot about Pulisic’s talents that they are keen to sign him in the summer.

Whilst some of the Premier League’s bigger boys will be keen on Pulisic, he still needs to head for the exit door at Stamford Bridge.

Signed during the winter transfer window of 2019, it just hasn’t clicked for the speedster, who more than anything, just needs a fresh start to his career.
