Newcastle United are searching for a new manager after Steve Bruce’s exit – and some fans want Everton boss Rafael Benitez back at the club.
Benitez has been heavily slated by Everton fans having seen his side collapse against Watford.
Everton were 2-1 up with 20 minutes left but somehow lost 5-2.
Everton fans aren’t happy with Benitez right now, so could there be a route back to Newcastle for him?

Benitez spent three years as Newcastle boss, winning 62 of his 146 games in charge of the Magpies.
Newcastle fans loved Benitez, and there is some logic to thinking he could come back to Tyneside now.
The Daily Star reported in April 2020 that Benitez was the top choice to become Newcastle boss after their takeover.
The takeover took a while, but it’s now done. Benitez is allegedly very close to Amanda Staveley, lending some credence to the notion of him coming back to Newcastle.
The Athletic note that Benitez isn’t an active option because of his move to Everton, but that may not be the end of it.
Everton fans are booing Benitez and haven’t exactly warmed to him, so if Newcastle come calling again, would Benitez really say no?

Newcastle fans have been taking to Twitter to react to Benitez’s latest defeat, seemingly hoping that he will come ‘home’.
Some are joking that Benitez is sabotaging his Everton career just to get back to Newcastle.
Others are urging Everton to sack Benitez already, hoping he will leave just in time for Newcastle to snap him up.
