Newcastle United want Christian Pulisic and believe that he could be their next statement signing ahead of the January window.
Newcastle have already secured big deals for the likes of Kieran Trippier, Sven Botman, Bruno Guimaraes and Alexander Isak.
The Sunday Mirror (11/12, p68) now report that Newcastle are looking to launch a January move for the Chelsea winger.
Manchester United and Arsenal are understood to be interested in Pulisic but would be targeting a loan deal for the American.
Chelsea are open to selling at around £40million though and Newcastle are looking into such a move.
It’s even claimed that ‘early indications’ are that Pulisic would be tempted into making the switch to St James’ Park.
First-team football is the big seller for Pulisic and it looks like Newcastle are the club who can offer what everybody wants here.

Newcastle can satisfy everybody in Pulisic race
Chelsea want a sale and wouldn’t exactly love a loan, especially to one of their so-called ‘big six’ rivals.
Pulisic will be seeking first-team action having failed to nail down a starting role at Chelsea.
It feels a little unlikely that Arsenal or Manchester United can really guarantee that kind of role for Pulisic right now.
Newcastle are the ones who can offer the cash for a permanent deal and the important role in Eddie Howe’s attack.
Add in that Newcastle’s Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi are close to Chelsea’s Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali and you can see how a deal for Pulisic could come to fruition.
Pulisic, 24, had a decent World Cup for the United States and scored the crucial goal to beat Iran and advance to the last 16.
Yet with just three Premier League starts this season, it feels like Pulisic now needs to move on with his £58million move to Stamford Bridge failing to really pay off.
There is still plenty of talent there with Pulisic and if Newcastle can get a deal done, the American wide man could be the latest success story under Howe.
