Newcastle United are willing to pay big to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Arsenal in the January transfer window, according to The Daily Star.

The report has claimed that Newcastle are prepared to pay the bulk of Aubameyang’s £300,000-a-week salary.

Arsenal are willing to offload the striker, but the North London club would prefer him to move to Barcelona.

Aubameyang himself is not playing well at the moment, and he would be wary of joining a club who are struggling on the pitch.
