Paul Merson has written in The Daily Star that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is finished at Arsenal.

The Sky Sports pundit does not think that Aubameyang will play for Arsenal again.

The former Arsenal star believes that the Gabon international striker will not come back from the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations.

Merson wrote in The Daily Star: “Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is finished at Arsenal. He won’t be coming back from the Africa Cup of Nations.”

Does Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have Arsenal future?

In our view, Aubameyang could still play a role for Arsenal this season.

We know that the 32-year-old did not play for the Gunners in the games before his departure to the Africa Cup of Nations.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker is being punished for a disciplinary breach.

However, we think that Aubameyang could still have a role for the Gunners, at least this season.

Now, we have covered speculation that Arsenal are open to offers for the striker.

It remains to be seen how many clubs approach the Gunners and how much they are willing to pay for him.

Aubameyang is not having the best of seasons, but the 32-year-old is a very good and experienced striker who could still score important goals.

Remember, Arsenal are in a very good position to finish in the Premier League top four this season.
