Newcastle United transfer target Antonee Robinson has been cooking up some serious speed at the Qatar World Cup for the USA.
The Fulham left-back has been clocked at recording a quicker speed than France and PSG superstar, Kylian Mbappe, in the Middle East, despite the forward being one of the quickest players on the planet.
As posted by Sky Sports, Robinson, who is enjoying a brilliant season under Marco Silva at Craven Cottage, clocked a speed of 21.99 (MPH), that’s the fourth quickest in the tournament so far.

Another Newcastle United transfer target – Kamaldeen Sulemana – has clocked the fastest speed for Ghana coming in at 22.18 (MPH), whilst Spain wonderkid Nico Williams (22.08) and Germany’s David Raum (22.05) are ahead of the American.
Mbappe himself, who can still top that chart because France are still in the competition, has clocked a speed of 21.87 (MPH).

NEWCASTLE’S INTEREST IN ROBINSON
Eddie Howe’s side are going places this season and with Premier League football on hold, they are sitting in the Champions League places.
The underrated Matt Targett, the ball-playing Sven Botman and the ever-reliable Dan Burn have been the ones to deploy that left-back role for the Magpies.
Only former Aston Villa and Fulham man Targett is the bonafide left-back, so it’s understandable why Newcastle are looking to enhance that area of the pitch amid their interest in Robinson.
After struggling during his first spell in the Premier League, Robinson is built differently now, just like his Fulham side, and he is more than good enough to do a job for Newcastle if they put money down for his talents.
