Bartlomiej Dragowski looks set to leave Fiorentina with Premier League duo West Ham and Newcastle United eyeing up the Serie A shot-stopper, as reported by Tuttomercatoweb.
Come the summer, Dragowski will have just 12 months left on his La Viola contract.
And, with talks over an extension hitting the buffers, it makes sense for Fiorentina to cash in now – while they can still command a sizeable transfer fee – rather than risk losing the Poland international for absolutely nothing in 2023.
According to Corriere dello Sport, West Ham are one of the clubs willing to offer Dragowski a fresh start.
West Ham do have an option to sign Areola permanently for £12 million. But it’s not certain how the former Fulham ‘stopper feels about extending his stay.
He’s featured almost exclusively in cup competitions thus far after all.
The evergreen Lukasz Fabianski remains David Moyes’ number one. He is likely to sign a 12-month extension sooner rather than later.
Assuming Areola leaves, would Dragowski be willing to join a club where first-team football is far from guaranteed.
Will Bartlomiej Dragowski swap Serie A for the Premier League?

According to TMW, Fiorentina are already planning for life without the former Empoli talisman, who shot to fame by making a Serie A-record 17 saves during a goalless draw with Atalanta back in 2019.
Dragowski has been left on the bench for each of the last five league fixtures. And, unhappy with his new back-seat role, the brilliantly-bearded 24-year-old is leaving no one in any doubt about his desire for a fresh start away from the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
This may be a potential pitfall for West Ham. Assuming they see him as someone to compete with, rather than replace, Fabianski.
Newcastle manager Eddie Howe is also a long-time admirer (TMW).
He even tried to sign the Dragowski, who wants £32,000-a-week, at Bournemouth.
