Premier League neighbours Bournemouth and Southampton are reportedly keen to sign Polish ‘keeper Dragowski from Serie A outfit Fiorentina.

Bournemouth have made a £9.7m million bid for Fiorentina goalkeeper Bartlomiej Dragowski with Alfredo Pedulla claiming that they have now outbid their South Coast rivals Southampton as the chase for the Polish shot-stopper ramps up.

Dragowski is a man in demand right now after a superb run of form during a loan spell at Empoli from January to May.

The 21-year-old even pulled off a remarkable 17 saves during a goalless draw against Champions League-bound Atalanta in April, the most of any goalkeeper since Opta records began 15 years ago.

Reports in Italy claim that Dragowski has a number of admirers on English shores with Southampton making an £8.8 million bid on Saturday.

Just 24 hours later, however, Alfredo Pedulla claims that Bournemouth have suddenly jumped to the front of the queue by offering £9.7 million in an attempt to beat The Saints to one of Europe’s most talented young shot-stoppers.

Bournemouth need a long-term solution between the sticks with veteran Artur Boruc out of contract and Asmir Begovic a shadow of his former self and time will tell whether a fee just short of £10 million will be enough.

Your move Southampton.
