Newcastle United want Moussa Diaby and hope to finally convince the Bayer Leverkusen winger in the January transfer window.
Newcastle just aren’t putting a foot wrong in the transfer market.
Nick Pope, Sven Botman, Dan Burn and Matt Targett have been solid at the back when called upon.
Kieran Trippier, Bruno Guimaraes and Alexander Isak add some star power and whilst Chris Wood isn’t a star, he’s another solid contributor.
Eddie Howe is doing a great job right now and with some more quality signings, Newcastle could seriously qualify for European action.

Newcastle United want Moussa Diaby
Miguel Almiron is arguably playing his best football for Newcastle and even Jacob Murphy scored against Brentford on Saturday.
Yet Newcastle may still need to add another winger if they have real hopes of challenging the Premier League’s elite.
Allan Saint-Maximin is a quality winger but he picks up injuries and needs a partner in crime on the other flank.
Newcastle’s top target there has been Bayer Leverkusen star Moussa Diaby, with Fabrizio Romano claiming that they are ‘obsessed’ and ‘in love’ with the Frenchman.
Reports from The Northern Echo added that Leverkusen wanted £60million for Diaby whereas Newcastle were only offering around £40million with add-ons.
No deal was done but Newcastle are now finished with this pursuit just yet.
iNews report that Newcastle are retaining a strong interest in Diaby and they will seriously consider a new January push.
Newcastle hope that their impressive Premier League form and genuine hope of European qualification will help tempt a player like Diaby to join.
Diaby, 23, is a frankly terrifying winger due to his blistering pace and he has the end product to go with the speed.
The former Paris Saint-Germain talent racked up 17 goals and 14 assists for Leverkusen last season and was outstanding in Saturday’s 4-0 win over Schalke, bagging a goal and two assists.
Hailed as ‘astonishing’ over in Germany, Diaby is an outstanding winger and if Newcastle can pair him up with Saint-Maximin, few full backs will fancy facing the Magpies.
