Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United have made a third offer for Watford striker Joao Pedro.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Newcastle have made a third and final offer of £25 million plus £5 million in add-ons for the 20-year-old Brazilian star.
Romano has added that it is now up to Watford now to make a final decision on the future of the youngster.
The Italian journalist had earlier reported that Watford want £30 million in transfer fees for the striker, and that Newcastle have had two offers for the Brazilian turned down by the Hornets.
Newcastle make another offer for Watford striker Joao Pedro
Could a transfer happen?
In our opinion, Joao Pedro could hold the key in regard to a potential move from Watford to Newcastle United in the summer transfer window.
If Watford do not want to sell the 20-year-old for anything less than £30 million and Newcastle are not willing to raise their offer, then only a push from the Brazilian youngster could get a deal done.
Pedro has scored one goal in four Championship appearances for the Hornets so far this season.
The forward scored three goals and gave one assist in 15 Premier League starts last season, and scored nine goals and provided two assists in 31 Championship starts in 2020-21.
