Newcastle United continue to be linked with new signings despite not having a manager in place – and Niklas Sule is one of their targets.
Newcastle’s takeover means big money could be spent in the upcoming transfer windows.
Still, finding some bargains to come in and bolster the squad would be ideal, so players running down their contract would be ideal.
One such player is Bayern Munich defender Sule, who can leave for free at the end of the season.
Bild’s Christian Falk reported last month that Newcastle want to sign Bayern ace Sule.
Falk has now added that Sule is interested in a move to Newcastle as their project excites him.
Sule, 26, joined Bayern from Hoffenheim back in 2017. He has now played almost 150 times for the German giants, winning four league titles.
A giant presence at 6ft 5in tall, Sule is also a 37-cap Germany international and could be a massive coup on a free transfer.

Newcastle fans react to Sule rumours
Newcastle fans seem pretty excited with this rumour, claiming Sule is exactly the kind of player the Magpies need.
Others think that a manager simply isn’t relevant when a talent like Sule is available.
Some think Sule would be ‘excellent’ and are urging Newcastle to get him in if he really does want to join.
