After the January transfer window ended, we have seen glimpses of what Eddie Howe and Amanda Staveley will transform Newcastle into.
Joelinton has been remodelled as a dynamic midfielder, who will be joined by his fellow Brazilian Bruno Guimarães in the middle of the park.
At the back, Kieran Trippier has slotted in superbly, and Matt Targett makes up the second half of what appears to be a fantastic full-back duo.
Now, Newcastle could have another deadly pairing on their hands – arguably one of the best in the Premier League, if not Europe.
What’s the story?
Well, according to the Chronicle, Newcastle are monitoring Rennes forward Jeremy Doku, who has been on their radar for some time.
The Magpies are set to make a number of new signings this summer, and the Belgium international is a target as the recruitment drive continues.

Now, if this move materialises, Doku and Allan Saint-Maximin will cause absolute chaos on the flanks for Newcastle.
If you don’t know much about the 19-year-old, let us explain why he and Newcastle’s No.10 would wreak havoc in the Premier League.
Allan Saint-Maximin and Jeremy Doku would thrive at Newcastle
Without question, Saint-Maximin and Doku are two of the best – and most consistent – dribblers in Europe.
At EURO 2020 back in the summer, Doku set a new record for most successful dribbles at the World Cup or European Championships since data collection began, when Belgium lost 2-1 to Italy.
Even if you watch him just once, you will be amazed – Gary Lineker even said the teenager made him feel “dizzy” after watching the aforementioned game.
Throughout his career, Doku has registered an average of 3.4 dribbles per game, which is quite a lot.

Of course, we all know what Saint-Maximin can do with a football – the Frenchman has recorded 3.6 dribbles per game throughout his career.
With a prolific frontman at centre-forward, one who can strike up a good relationship with the duo and read their actions, Newcastle would have one of the best frontlines in England – to say the least.
