Newcastle United make the trip to tLondon to take on Chelsea tomorrow.

Magpies boss Rafa Benitez sat down for his pre-match press conference, ahead of his side’s clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tomorrow, and responded to a question asking him if he expects a hostile reception form the Blues faithful, as quoted by the Chronicle.
The Spaniard spent six months in charge of the west London outfit, winning the Europa League in the process, but he never truly endeared himself to the Chelsea fans, who were frustrated with his defensive approach to games.
Benitez has always been a pragmatic coach, choosing to focus on defensive solidarity first, before deploying any kind of attacking tactics.

It is hard to argue with the 57-year-old’s CV within the game, however, and it seems as though he has never really got the credit that he deserves for his achievements.
Benitez sat down for his press conference today, and responded to a reporter asking him whether he expected a hostile reception from the Stamford Bridge faithful tomorrow, as quoted by the Chronicle:

“The normal fans in the street are fine. The rivalry is because of Liverpool vs Chelsea. We qualified for the Champions League and won the Europa League, the majority of them are fine.”
Newcastle currently sit in 12th position in the Premier League table, and could climb as high as ninth with a victory tomorrow, however unlikely that may seem.
