Newcastle United are reportedly planning to make an offer for the winger.

Reports emanating from Turkey today suggest that the Magpies are interested in signing Galatasaray forward Garry Rodrigues in January, according to Turkish media outlet Fotomac.
According to Turkish Football, Newcastle had a £6 million bid rejected for the 27-year-old in the summer, so it will surely take a substantial increase on that offer, if they are to snare him in January.
And now Fotomac are reporting that the Toon are ready to go back in for the Cape Verde international, with Rafa Benitez keen on strengthening his options in the wide attacking department.

Rodrigues is a pacey wide-man, who plays with a certain type of directness, and he has a keen eye for goal.
With the Magpies poor record in front of goal this season, the Gala ace would surely prove to be a huge asset to Benitez’s side, and help improve upon the potency of their attacking play.

Much will obviously depend on how much money Benitez is given to spend in January, but with the opening of the transfer window just around the corner, this will certainly be one to keep an eye on.
