Paul Merson has predicted on SportsKeeda that Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United will fail to win against Crystal Palace at Elland Road.
The former Arsenal star believes that the Premier League game between Leeds and Palace on Tuesday evening will end in a 1-1 draw.
Merson has pointed out how a win for Leeds could have ramifications for Newcastle.
Leeds are three points above the Premier League bottom three at the moment.
Meanwhile, Newcastle currently find themselves at the foot of the table.
Leeds United v Crystal Palace
Merson wrote in SportsKeeda: “Leeds are just floating around at the moment. People keep telling me that they’re playing well, but they aren’t winning matches this season. This game also has an impact on the relegation zone – if Leeds win this game, Newcastle are suddenly further down in the pecking order.
“Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace juggernaut came to a grinding halt against Aston Villa. That was a poor result for Palace, but I think they will eventually bounce back in the Premier League.
“Crystal Palace are a better team than they were over the weekend, but Leeds could present a determined front.”

Big games for Leeds and Newcastle
Both Leeds and Newcastle are in relegation trouble.
And both the teams have big games this week.
Palace may be the away team against Leeds, but Patrick Vieira’s side have shown some very good signings and will fancy their chances of winning at Elland Road.
Newcastle are also in action on Tuesday evening.

Eddie Howe’s side will face fellow relegation contenders Norwich City at St. James’ Park.
In our opinion, Leeds should eke out a win against Palace, especially if Bielsa plays Kalvin Phillips in central midfield and not in central defence.
We also think that Newcastle will get at least a point against Norwich given that they are at home.
