New Yorkers have found a creative way to make some extra money from Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding.

Just weeks after the New York Knicks ended their 53-year NBA Championship drought, the city witnessed another major event: The wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

The pop star reportedly tied the knot with the NFL star in front of 1,000 A-listers at the home of the Knicks, Madison Square Garden.

People watch giant screens showing the message "JUST&T MARRIED!" (T&T for Taylor and Travis) outside Madison Square Garden, the reported venue for the wedding celebrations of pop singer Taylor Swift and pro-athlete Travis Kelce, in New York City.

New Yorkers sold trash from Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding for $25 a bag

With the event featuring such a huge crowd, it’s bound to produce a lot of trash to be cleaned the day after. But some clever citizens took things up a notch by selling actual trash bags from the celebrity wedding.

The idea was spearheaded by artist Justin Gignac, who created hype around the trash bags by claiming there were only 50 limited-edition bags available.

“I figured Swifties would never want to part with their wedding garbage, so they can take it with them wherever they go,” Gignac shared with BBC News.

The artist also posted a video of the incident on TikTok, racking up more than 800,000 views on the social media platform. Talk about thinking out of the box.
