Tyler Kolek’s NBA title celebrations quickly spread beyond New York Knicks fans, as the guard stepped into one of the early viral moments of the World Cup.

France vs Senegal already had a major tournament feel, and IShowSpeed’s presence around the match added another layer of attention.

When Kolek appeared in the clip, the moment connected New York’s championship buzz with a packed soccer stage. Speed kept the question simple, and Kolek’s answer gained extra meaning once the final whistle arrived.

In footage shared by IShowSpeedHQ on X, Speed asked Kolek if he was backing Senegal in their match against France.

“I’m Puma, that’s why. I’m [supporting Senegal] bro. 3-1 Senegal,” Kolek said.

Kolek’s answer referenced Puma, the brand behind Senegal’s national kit. It was a straightforward reason for his support, even if it was not rooted in a detailed soccer argument.

His prediction of a 3-1 Senegal win added another layer to the moment. The match did finish 3-1, only it was France who came out on top.

Tyler Kolek nailed the scoreline but picked the wrong winner

France opened their Group I campaign with a 3-1 victory over Senegal at New York/New Jersey Stadium.

Kylian Mbappe scored twice for France, with Bradley Barcola adding the third. Senegal’s lone goal came from Ibrahim Mbaye in stoppage time, matching the scoreline Kolek had predicted.

That made the clip funnier after full-time. Kolek was wrong about Senegal winning, but he still landed on the exact final score in a game France controlled by the end.

The exchange fit neatly into the wider crossover between basketball and soccer this summer. IShowSpeed’s tournament coverage has kept pulling in viral moments, while the Knicks’ title win remains a major talking point across sports.

For Kolek, it was just a casual answer during a World Cup match. For fans online, it became a memorable prediction, right score, wrong side.
