iShowSpeed refused to back down after Draymond Green and Jayden Daniels laughed at his claim that he averaged 25 points per game in high school.
The streamer was already having a massive sports week after attending the United States’ World Cup opener against Paraguay and hitting another major YouTube milestone.
But his basketball claim created a different kind of viral moment, with two professional athletes clearly struggling to believe what they were hearing.

iShowSpeed defends high school scoring claim to Draymond Green
As ryan shared, Draymond Green and Jayden Daniels laughed after Speed claimed he averaged more than 20 points per game in high school.
Speed pushed back by describing his playing style, saying: “Yeah, I was like a slasher. Y’all laughing, but I’m serious.”
He then doubled down on the Ohio connection: “You can ask anybody from Ohio who lived in my district.”
In the clip, Speed said he went to Purcell Marian in Ohio and told the group they could check his Hudl. The funny part came when the room actually sounded ready to look it up.
Green and Daniels did not have to say much. Their laughter did the work, turning Speed’s claim into the joke of the exchange.
Speed sounded completely serious, while everyone around him treated it like classic Speed exaggeration.
Speed’s World Cup week keeps getting bigger
The basketball debate came during the same stretch where Speed was everywhere around the World Cup.
He attended USA vs Paraguay at SoFi Stadium, where the USMNT opened its campaign with a 4-1 win. Folarin Balogun scored twice, Gio Reyna added a late goal, and the United States scored four goals in a men’s World Cup game for the first time.
Speed also hit 55 million YouTube subscribers during the match and celebrated with a backflip, giving him his own viral moment inside a landmark night for American soccer.
That is why the Draymond and Daniels clip worked so perfectly. Speed was already riding a huge sports moment, then immediately turned a high school basketball claim into another viral argument.
Whether he really averaged 25 or not, he made sure nobody laughed without hearing his defense first.
