Dele Alli became a free agent this summer when his contract with Everton expired and he could soon have multiple offers on his table.

Everton signed Dele Alli from Tottenham in a deal that could rise to £40m, but his move to Goodison Park did not go to plan.

The 28-year-old has only made 13 first-team appearances for the Toffees with Everton choosing not to play him to avoid paying a bonus fee to Tottenham.

His last performance for Everton was in August 2022 and his last competitive match was in February 2023 when out on loan with Besiktas.

Dele has been training with Everton throughout the summer and the Merseyside club have been in talks over a contract proposal, but he is now attracting interest from a new club.

Ligue 1 club show interest in Dele Alli

According to Sky Sports, Ligue 1 outfit Lille have shown an interest in a deal for Dele.

The report adds that the creative midfielder has been training with Everton’s first-team with the Toffees still exploring a new contract for him.

Talks are continuing about a solution that will see him stay at Goodison Park, but there is growing interest from France.

The transfer window closes on Friday at 11pm but because Dele is a free agent, negotiations over his future can continue beyond the deadline.

Sean Dyche on Everton interest in Dele

Everton have been patient with Dele as he continues his path back into football, and manager Sean Dyche offered an update on the club’s plan for the former England international.

“Well we haven’t gone down that road yet because he’s not ready to play yet. You have to be able to play to know what the future holds,” Dyche said in August.

“Don’t forget he’s hardly had any actual football, as in games, for a long time.”
