Martin Odegaard has claimed that the togetherness at Arsenal is the best he has ever seen in his career since joining the Gunners permanently this summer.
Speaking to BT Sport, the 23-year-old playmaker revealed that the Arsenal squad are in perfect harmony and that how close the group are is something Odegaard has never seen before, with the midfielder consistently playing out on loan from Real Madrid.
The Scandinavian superstar joined Madrid at 16 and went out on three different loan spells as well as spent some time in the Los Blancos first-team, yet since moving to Arsenal full-time, Odegaard has felt at home for the first time.
Mikel Arteta has done an incredible job creating a positive atmosphere at Arsenal after years of fractured groups and relationships, and for Odegaard, the current togetherness of the squad is the best he has ever experienced as a professional football player.
Odegaard said: “The togetherness is something special here, I’ve never seen something like this in my football career and there’s a lot of competition but still people just want the best for the team.
The Norwegian international added: “It is definitely something special going on here and I feel like everyone really wants to get the club back up to the top, so that’s the feeling behind it.”
Arsenal squad chemistry with Odegaard is the best it has been in years

Arsenal’s lack of chemistry in recent years has been a real sticking point for pundits and supporters, yet this current group under Arteta featuring the likes of Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and Aaron Ramsdale shows that the club are heading in the right direction.
The squad look united and driven by the cause of getting the club back to the top, and after Odegaard’s incredible claim, it will be exciting to see where Arsenal can go from this season should they finish in the top-four.
