Nedum Onuoha has expressed his surprise at Tottenham trying to sign Richarlison from Everton this summer, as he told ESPN.
The former centre-back added that he ‘never’ saw Richarlison as a Tottenham player and he thinks Lucas Moura is ‘a little ahead’ of his fellow countryman.
Given Everton’s financial troubles, it seems as though they may have to sell some of their star players in order to move forward.

Richarlison might be one of the players they move on, with Spurs expressing interest in the South American star.
Despite Tottenham being keen on Richarlison, former Man City man Onuoha made it clear that he doesn’t see him as a Conte type of player.
“I think he’s a good player, but I prefer Kulusevski,” said Onuoha. “I prefer that Kulusevski, Son and Kane partnership
“I think Lucas Moura also is probably a little bit ahead of him, so I am not sure. Maybe they want depth.
“But then that’s a lot of money for depth. His style of play, he seems more off-the-cuff than what a Conte signing would be.
“So, clearly they have seen something within him. But I never really had him down as a Spurs type of player, especially under this current manager. He’s a good player, but I don’t see him in a Spurs shirt.”

SHOULD TOTTENHAM SIGN RICHARLISON?
Everton’s livewire forward certainly divides opinion and he is someone who can get the fans of the opposition riled up.
Jamie Carragher has heavily criticised the versatile forward before, with the Everton star hitting back at the Liverpool legend.
One thing is for sure, in regards to character, aggression and being in the face of the opponents, Richarlison suits what Conte wants.
It’s just a case of whether, from a financial standpoint, he is worth taking a punt on and if he’s good enough to play Champions League football.
