Emerson Royal has posted on Instagram ‘never lose your glow’ after Tottenham Hotspur’s FA Cup third-round win over Portsmouth on Saturday and talk of him possibly leaving during the January transfer window.

The Spurs wing-back started against League One side Portsmouth, after being put on the bench by Antonio Conte during previous Premier League outings.

As per, it was Harry Kane who was the difference on the day, with his goal, which was his 265th in Tottenham colours, putting his side into the next round of the FA Cup.

Emerson Royal played the entire game for the Premier League side and it will be interesting to see how many more of those minutes he gets.

After securing a £26 million transfer from Barcelona (Sky Sports) during the summer of 2021, there is now talk that he has an uncertain future, with claims that Real Betis want to lure him back to Spain.

It remains to be seen what happens with him this month, with the Brazil international posting the following message on social media after his side’s FA Cup win.

EMERSON ROYAL SHOULD HEAD FOR TOTTENHAM EXIT DOOR

It just hasn’t worked out for the 23-year-old in the Premier League and it’s probably a transfer that would suit all parties, if it happens.

Time and time again, Conte speaks about taking the Spurs squad to the next level.

Well, that right-sided wing-back spot is an area he can upgrade and push towards an elite level, that’s if he can move on a number of stars from that position and sign who he wants.

There has been talk of Inter Milan star Denzel Dumfries, but will those in the Hotspur Way boardroom put money down on the table for the Netherlands international? And can they move on players like Emerson and Matt Doherty?
