Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers reportedly want Steven Caulker, with Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United also claimed to be interested in the Dundee defender.

Rangers and Leeds both were reportedly interested in signing Caulker from Dundee in the summer transfer window.
According to The Mirror (Transfer Live blog, 08:48, Wednesday, August 8, 2018), Leeds in the Championship in England and Scottish Premiership giants Rangers were considering making £1.5 million offers for the 26-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers centre-back (click here to read more).
Dundee manager McCann has said that there were no offers for the Englishman before the summer transfer window in England closed, and he is relieved to have retained the services of the former Cardiff City man.
McCann told The Dundee Evening Telegraph: “There have been no official bids put on the table yet for Steven. Clearly he is a player that attracts a lot of interest.
“The good thing is, I thought he would probably go and we would lose him, but we still have him.”

Too early to write off Rangers or Leeds United move?
While Leeds cannot sign Caulker on a permanent contract in the summer transfer window, Marcelo Bielsa’s side can still make a loan offer.
Moreover, the summer transfer window in Scotland is still open, meaning that Rangers can still make a bid for the defender.
Perhaps McCann should still worry about the future of Caulker, who is one of the best centre-backs in the Scottish Premiership and would be an asset at Leeds or Rangers.
