Lucas Moura has expressed in a post for The Players’ Tribune his desires to win a trophy while in north London, sparking some Tottenham Hotspur fans to react on social media.
The Brazilian joined Spurs from Paris Saint-Germain in a last-ditch £23m transfer during the January 2018 window under Mauricio Pochettino. Lucas has since established himself as a key player at Tottenham, with 167 appearances so far across all competitions.
He also played a crucial role in Spurs’ reaching the 2018/19 Champions League final during the winger’s first full season. Scoring a hat-trick in their semi-final second-leg away to Ajax to win on away goals, completing a dramatic comeback after trailing 3-0 on aggregate.

Pochettino elected not to start Lucas in the Tottenham line-up to face Liverpool in Madrid for the Champions League final. The 29-year-old has only contested one final since, when Spurs lost in the Carabao Cup to Manchester City this April.
