Patrick van Aanholt has taken to Twitter to send a threat in the direction of Arsenal’s Matteo Guendouzi, who is currently on loan at Marseille.
What’s the story?
Well, Guendouzi and Van Aanholt came to blows during last night’s 0-0 draw between Marseille and Galatasaray in the Europe League.
The Frenchman – who Arsenal paid £8m for – won a penalty after a challenge from the Dutchman in the 75th minute.
However, Paweł Raczkowski later overturned his decision after checking VAR.
Guendouzi continued to ‘run his mouth’ after this moment, despite VAR proving him wrong as Van Aanholt puts it.

There were more disagreements last night, as William Saliba and Mbaye Diagne were also involved in a scuffle.
Arsenal have a Matteo Guendouzi problem

If it wasn’t already obvious, the Gunners have a problem with Guendouzi, who just can’t seem to avoid the spotlight.
Recently, a French journalist named Romain Canuti claimed that the 22-year-old is causing issues at Marseille, and some teammates are unhappy.
Allegedly, Guendouzi tends to blame others when things go wrong, and is also a disturbance in training when going down too easily.

The midfielder is now on his second loan spell away from the Emirates Stadium, having spent last season with Hertha Berlin.
Guendouzi is showing no signs of improving his poor discipline, which suggests to us that Mikel Arteta won’t be keen to take him back.
Unless he really steps up between now and the end of the season, it could be curtains for Guendouzi in north London.
