Victor Wembanyama faces NBA fans’ call-outs after San Antonio Spurs’ training clip went viral.

The San Antonio Spurs had a stunning run, as they reached the 2026 NBA Finals. Unfortunately, the Spurs proved to be no match for the New York Knicks when it mattered the most.

Following a 4-1 defeat, the Spurs roster seems adamant about making it back to the NBA Finals next season. A major proof of it was the Spurs’ X handle posting a compilation of the roster’s recent training session.

NBA fans make fun of Victor Wembanyama for jumping on De’Aaron Fox’s pump fakes

In a segment of the now-viral clip, Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama is seen defending against De’Aaron Fox.

Fox did a couple of offensive moves, including two basic pump fakes, but Wemby took the bait each time, leading to some brutal reactions from fans.

“Wemby falling for 2 pump fakes in a row to boost De’Aaron Fox’s confidence,” a fan wrote. While another added, “Wemby is a horrible on-ball defender lol.”

“Wemby jumping at everything! Stay on your feet,” a third fan advised. “Wemby biting on the fakes smh,” a fan wrote in disappointment.

“Man, Wemby gotta stop biting on every fake like he’s not a foot taller than most players already,” another frustrated fan wrote.

Fox had a horrible performance during the 2026 NBA Finals, averaging 12.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game while shooting an underwhelming 34.3% from the field and 25.0% from the three-point line.

Keeping that in mind, some fans believe that Wemby is boosting Fox’s confidence in the now-viral clip, while others simply can’t believe the reigning NBA DPOY’s questionable defensive technique.
