Swedish media outlet Fotboll Skanalen say Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski was his side’s best player on Wednesday night, dishing out praise in a 2-0 win over Slovenia. Kulusevski scored his country’s second.
Kulusevski, 22, ended the season in brilliant form after joining Spurs in January. He produced 13 goal involvements in his 20 appearances for Spurs, five of which were from the bench – scoring five and creating eight.
He already has his own song at Spurs, and is now the long-term solution on the right of a front three that also includes Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. His stock is at an all-time high, and it has continued in yellow and blue.

Starting and finishing the UEFA Nations League outing against Slovenia, Kulusevski got his name on the score sheet with a neat finish. Swedish site FS gave him a 4/5 rating, the only player to get above a three.
“Best for Sweden. Perfect cross to Isak who should have nodded in for 1-0. Good performance. Close to caressing a shot for 2-0 in the far corner. Then decided the match. A performance of high class,” Fotboll Skanalen report.
Swedish media praise Tottenham star Kulusevski: The only way is up
Kulusevski seems to be getting better and better. His Juventus spell showed glimpses, but he was never given a regular platform to shine. At Tottenham, he seems to have that stage, and the manager.
He is perfect to Antonio Conte’s system – and Kulusevski’s work rate makes him a crucial component of the front three. It appears his confidence is sky high and remember, he has only just turned 22.
Spurs would be foolish not to tie his long-term future down immediately – with the Swede remaining at Spurs on loan. But there appears to be no doubt that if it is not done this summer, it will be done next.
