Nate Diaz says he is planning to return to the UFC later this year.
The MMA icon called time on his 15-year spell with the promotion after submitting Tony Ferguson in September 2022.
Since then, Nate Diaz has split a pair of boxing matches against Jorge Masvidal and Jake Paul.
Now, the 40-year-old fighting legend has hinted at a potential return to the premier MMA promotion, specifically for a title fight.
Nate Diaz is eyeing another shot at the BMF title

On Wednesday, Diaz shared a video from back in August 2019, when he called out Jorge Masvidal after beating Anthony Pettis.
That callout eventually led to the UFC creating the BMF belt for their fight later that year.
Masvidal became the first-ever BMF champion after winning by TKO via doctor stoppage at UFC 244.
Diaz’s recent post on X – formerly known as Twitter – hints that he is looking to get back into the mix for another shot at the symbolic title.
“Let’s not act like I didn’t start a whole division bringing value to all these guys claiming they’re it,” he wrote.
“I gave opportunity and put notice on the dopest fights I got unfinished business, and I plan on going and taking what’s mine asap 1st to ever start a division and the dopest one at that.
“You’re welcome motherf—ers. I’ll see you soon, I’m coming.”
Max Holloway to defend BMF title against Charles Oliveira
Max Holloway is set to defend his BMF title against Charles Oliveira on March 7 at UFC 326 in Las Vegas.
Oliveira’s first meeting with Holloway in August 2015 did not go as planned.
The bout ended after just 99 seconds due to a minor neck injury ‘Do Bronx’ picked up while shooting for a takedown, leading many fans to criticise him at the time.
Holloway landed two body shots before Oliveira went down, and the referee quickly waved it off. Now, nearly a decade later, they will run it back with much higher stakes attached.
And Diaz appears to be hoping to face the winner of Holloway vs Oliveira 2.
