Nuno’s Tottenham Hotspur have now joined the race for reported Arsenal target Nahitan Nandez, according to Centotrentuno.
What’s the story?
Centotrentuno have reported that Tottenham are keen on signing Nandez from Cagliari in the summer transfer window.
The North London club plan to make an offer of a season-long loan deal with the obligation to make it permanent next summer.
Cagliari are looking for €36 million (£30.63 million) as transfer fee for the 25-year-old Uruguay international midfielder.
Could Tottenham succeed where Arsenal failed?
Tottenham are not the only club who are keen on signing Nandez in the summer transfer window.
La Repubblica reported last month that the midfielder had turned down Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal as well as Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United this summer.
The Cagliari star reportedly wants to move to Italian champions Inter Milan.
We covered the report here on HITC Sport.

Italian media have reported that Nandez is so keen on a move to Inter that he did not travel for a friendly match for Cagliari recently.
Cagliari and Inter are unable to come to a financial agreement, which is why the move has not happened.
Yet.
This does open the door for Tottenham, who are a big club and will be challenging for the Champions League places in the Premier League table this season.
However, if Nandez wants to join Inter and Inter only, then convincing him to switch to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could be tricky.
