Arne Slot has now opened up about whether he intends to become the next Tottenham Hotspur manager.
As quoted by journalist Dan Kilpatrick, the Dutch coach, who had a meeting on Monday with Feyenoord over his future has now cleared up all the speculation.
Until now, it has seemed that Arne Slot was likely to take over the Tottenham Hotspur job.
Arne Slot reveals whether he wants to become the next Tottenham manager
After Julian Nagelsmann snubbed Spurs, while rumours around Luis Enrique have also died down, the club’s managerial situation has been a bit of a mess.
Last Thursday, however, even Ibrahim Affelay claimed that it seemed unlikely that the Eredivisie winner would be able to resist the temptation of managing the Premier League outfit.
However, the ex-Barcelona winger has been proven wrong, as Arne Slot has effectively turned down the Tottenham manager job.

“I have been hearing a lot of rumors going around about other club’s interest in me. Although I am thankful my wish is to stay at Feyenoord and continue working on what we created last year.”
Arne Slot also said that he intends to extend his current contract as Feyenoord manager instead of joining Tottenham, saying, “There is not and there has not been – transfer conversation and yesterday’s meeting was exclusively for an extension. All talks with the club have always been only in that sense. Looking forward to next season with Feyenoord.”
Tottenham must be feeling a sense of déjà vu
As Arne Slot has decided to snub the Tottenham manager job in favour of continuing his love affair with Feyenoord, the feeling must be all too familiar for the London-based side.
In the summer of 2021 as well, a number of coaches turned their backs on Spurs, as only Nuno Espirito Santo ultimately chose to join the club.
Of course, the former Wolves boss’ time at Tottenham was short-lived in what was a horror show of a first half of the campaign.
It seems like Spurs are undergoing the same struggles and if they continue, they could be set for a brutal reality check next season due to their failure to bring in their manager targets.
