Arsenal’s U-23 side were able to emulate the senior side this weekend by also claiming a big win. Yet it was Mika Biereth and his first-half goal that stole the show.

The Gunners secured an impressive 6-1 win over London rivals Chelsea, with Folarin Balogun bagging a brace with Biereth netting hat-trick. Even with defender Omar Rekiki seeing red in the opening half, Arsenal breezed to victory.

With Balogun scoring twice and assisting once, the Hale End academy graduate put in a solid shift that could see the youngster start midweek against AFC Wimbledon in the League Cup.

Yet it was the goal from Biereth that has got fans talking. The teenage attacker, who joined from Fulham over the summer, bagged a stunning acrobatic strike to make it 2-0 against Chelsea.

The striker has impressed since making the move from west to north London. And this latest goal from Biereth only adds to the potential the youngster has.

With Balogun also at the club, Arsenal are well stocked for strikers in the coming years should the duo develop. And on social media, supporters were stunned with the goal Biereth scored.
